I'm faving this one to keep a link to your gallery, since so much of your work is amazing.
It reminds me of H. R. Giger and Hans Bellmer to some degree, but your work is much more
subtle, more authentically transhuman (in a time when that concept gets thrown around
quite a lot without meaning much). The tone of your work suggests to me what films like
EX MACHINA are trying to get at but don't quite touch.
This particular piece is the one I'm faving also because it presents both the anthropomorphosizing
and the indexical qualities in most of your work while also including a human shadow/silhouette
that's been sliced through by metal. The part of the shadow where the camera might be is
also occluded, and yet the photo is here -- I am looking at it. That strange cross-haired lamp
where the human navel would be is also very striking -- it is reminiscent of the ancient Chinese
pictogram for the navel, the location of the human self (and the place from which energy
emanates).
